TRACING ARCS, UK
Tracing Arcs is a duo from England, formed in the mid 90’s. The members are Fran Kapelle (vocal/lyrics) and Paul H. Addie (keyboards/ programming/biscuit tin lids). Both have a genuine background in the English world of alternative music, headlined at leading venues in the UK, written for theatres in London and Milan, and worked with artists such as; An Emotional Fish, Mary Coughlan, Plaid, Ian Shaw etc
Tracing Arcs has released music on labels like MixedMode Netlabel, Dusted Wax Kingdom, iD.EOLOGY and of course 23 Seconds Netlabel.
If you have not listened to the band, then we strongly recommend you to download “Eye See You Too (Remixes & Forbidden Fruit)”, released on 23 Seconds in May 2011. The album is also available on Spotify.
The album is a journey through the world of chilled-out drum´n´bass, trip hop and dubby beautiful unsearched landscapes of the fascinating voice of Fran Kapelle.
Or as iD.EOLOGY says: “As soon as the first notes hit your ears, a film noir starts rolling in your head. Classy triphop beats, elaborate jazz-chords and deep upright basses skillfully sketch out a closed-off world in subtle shades of black. With the dark attraction of a femme fatale,”

AZOORA IN GOTHENBURG
Last week we had the pleasure to be visited by the prominent band Azoora from London, UK.
There are very few pictures of the main members John Purcell and Paul Loader together out there, so take this opportunity to study them properly :D
All music made by Azoora can be downloaded for free here: www.23seconds.org/azoora.htm
NEW FREE RELEASE!
Artist: Azoora feat. Graciellita
Title: Apart
Label: 23 Seconds Netlabel
Cat: [sec.064]
Genre: Trip-hop / Chill
Country: UK / Canada
Release date: 2011-07-22
Licenses: Creative Commons licenses by-sa/3.0/
We proudly present a new collaboration between John Purcell from the London-based band Azoora and the wonderful Montreal-based artist Graciellita.
Azoora has released seven EP´s on 23 Seconds Netlabel between 2008-2011, and those who have listened to them before will recognize the sound in this project. Though it sounds different too, Graciellita has made a clear imprint on the atmosphere with her lovely voice and presence.
Both artists have a background in trip-hop or related music and this is clearly reflected in their collaboration. The EP is a beautiful, chilled out trip-hop journey with insidious echoes, loops, beats and various small sounds. Beautiful and dark at the same time. Or as one of our friends described it: electronic, singer and songwriter music.
Azoora will be back with a new release later this year, this time with the full band. In case you can’t wait, or have yet to discover Azoora’s earlier work, we strongly recommend immediate consumption of the old stuff as well. All of it available for FREE download here: www.23seconds.org/azoora.htm. If you want to explore more of Graciellitas’s music, we recommend you to visit her Bandcamp page where multiple albums are available: http://graciellita.bandcamp.com
